Frontier Focus

High school juniors and seniors from all over came to check out Frontier! We had almost an extra 100 people on campus and it was a great time. On Thursday night the Suma suits were a big hit and got everyone involved! On Friday they visited classes and that night was a cookout with a bonfire and more crazy games.

We were especially glad that Bob Logan made the trip all the way from Pharr, TX and brought 7 kids with him. Kimberly (Logan) Pannill also came and brought 9 kids from South Dakota. It was great having Bob and Kim stay with us.

Encouraging Words

From time to time we like to share some of the encouraging words we receive. Because of you we are able to be involved in ministry full time and we like you to hear the responses from others. You are an important part of lives being changed and we thank you. We appreciate so much your prayers and financial support.

Recently an American Airline pilot ordered 100 copies of The Gift booklets to leave in hotel rooms. He sent us the picture above and said, “This is why I wanted those books! I’ve given away 4 already!” This is another great way to share this booklet to reach others for Christ! ~JC Fort Myers, FL

Thank you very much for the two books. I read The Gift and learned so much more in my walk with our Lord. Chapter four was especially informative for me.…That chapter helped me a lot. I look forward to reading Fishing for Men as our church is teaching more about discipleship…I am signing up for Clarity Trumpet and will share this booklet with my pastor. ~JC Miami, FL

I have recently discovered your website “clarity ministries” and I was deeply moved at the truth I discovered. For years I have been struggling to understand what is the nature of salvation? Am I saved, am I not saved? [In reading some] books I got very confused on this point. I came to the Lord in 1979 and what the fruit of salvation is supposed to be has for a long time been a point of some confusion. Your articles are helping me though to come to some sort of understanding…I just actually wanted to say thank you for all the materials you make available on your website. I am still working through all the articles and so far it has been very helpful. ~ST Johannesburg, South Africa

A Word from the Word

Eagerly waiting! There are times when these two words really don’t seem to go together. But then, in other settings, they compliment each other beautifully.

We often associate being eager with getting something done quickly, or being anxious about something, such as being eager to get a scheduled surgery over with as soon as possible. In contrast, there is waiting. The room you occupy before seeing the doctor isn’t called "the hurry up room," is it? No, it’s the “waiting room”—and well named for sure! But Scripture brings these two thoughts together perfectly. Notice the common theme.

…even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.
— Romans 8:23
For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body.
— Philippians 3:20
To those who eagerly wait for Him, He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.
— Hebrews 9:28

Finally, as expressed in the following verse we see suffering Job’s eager longing to see the Lord.

For I know that my Redeemer lives, and He shall stand at last on the earth; and after my skin is destroyed, this I know, that in my flesh I shall see God, whom I shall see for myself, and my eyes shall behold, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!
— Job 19:25-27

We do not ever want to look at the coming of the Lord as just an escape from the unpleasant trials of this life. However, if we lack a heartfelt yearning or eagerness to be with Him, it may indicate that we are too attached to this world and its pleasures. Are we eagerly waiting to see the Lord face to face, or is that event something we would rather have postponed so we can fully enjoy all this world has to offer? Answer honestly — it may reveal more about your true spiritual condition than anything else.
